As part of the electronics team within the Digital Technologies department at Polytype, you will act as a bridge between engineering, laboratory, and customer operations for high-end inkjet printing systems. You will support system validation, perform on-site troubleshooting, and ensure reliable operation of our digital printing machines, while contributing to continuous improvement through structured feedback and documentation.

You will play a key role in the system validation phase of the development, ensuring that developments are correctly integrated and perform reliably on the full machine over time.

Your role

Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on digital printing systems internal & customer site
Act as second-level technical support for the printing system
Support system validation on machine, ensuring that features work reliably in real conditions
Diagnose issues, identify root causes and document them, translate into engineering requirements
Support software and system updates on machines
Assist in lab testing and validation processes
Maintain and improve test procedures and documentation
Traveling abroad to customer for 20%

Your Profile

ES technician or BSc in electronics / automation / embedded systems
Strong practical mindset, autonomous and structured
Ability to analyze issues and document clearly and rigorously
Comfortable working both in lab and on-site (International)
Basics in embedded software (C++) and/or PLC (structured text)
Good electronics fundamentals (troubleshooting and measurement)
Experience with test procedures and reporting
Native French or German speaker with excellent command of English

Nice to have

Python
Experience with RIP / color management / printing systems
Git / version control
